In addition to the HUMDA ORB field of more than 130 pairs, the WHB Győr Rally audience can also expect several interesting events beyond the competition: before and after the downtown Special Stage, the Showtime programme will feature top drivers and spectacular vehicles from several disciplines, including Levente Losonczy of TCR Europe and TCR Italy, who will be driving on a truly home track in his hometown.
In addition to the race program, the organizing committee of the WHB Győr Rally is preparing for a spectacular weekend on September 8-10, 2023. On Sunday, before and after the downtown Special Stage, the so-called Showtime program will be held again, expected from 9:59 and 15:45. The goal is to allow cars and drivers who do not participate in the race to provide a special experience for the spectators by their demonstration runs.
This year, touring car racer Losonczy Levente will also be part of the Showtime program. As a Győr-born athlete, he is particularly excited to show off his Hyundai Elantra N TCR racing car in front of his home crowd. The car is specifically arriving for this event from the team’s Italian headquarters before returning to the TCR Italy and TCR Europe rounds in Monza.
Ákos Radnóti, Deputy Mayor of the City of Győr, who is also responsible for sports, was delighted to hear that Győr-born Levente Losonczy will be able to show his talent to the Hungarian audience at the WHB Győr Rally Showtime.
Talented driver, world class racecar
Levente started the season with a podium finish by racing for Aggressive Team Italia, finishing third in the Imola round of the Italian championship. He then went on to start the second race of TCR Europe in France from pole position. In mid-June, he also took to the track at the Hungaroring in front of thousands of Hungarian fans. At that time, he could not have known that on September 10, he could get even closer to his home crowd at the WHB Győr Rally.
“Only a few drivers get a chance to compete in their home country, and even fewer is privileged to get into the race car in their hometown. I never even dreamed of this before, and I am very happy that thanks to fortunate circumstances, as well as the cooperation of my team, Aggressive Team Italia, our partners and TRP Hungary, I can also drive at the WHB Győr Rally,” said Losonczy Levente.

Levente will not be alone on the 5.05-kilometer section, which also passes through the campus of Széchenyi István University, the Kossuth Bridge, and Dunakapu Square. On one of the runs, he will be joined by the well-known singer-presenter, Lola. She visited him at the Hungaroring, but at that time, she did not have the opportunity to experience the thrill of racing from inside the car.
